Business Development Manager

An award-winning full-service law firm, Allen & Gledhill LLP has been providing legal services to premier clients since 1902. We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead initiatives that enhance our firm's market presence, client engagement, and revenue growth. This role requires strong business development acumen to enhance our business development strategies, grow client relationships, and support regional expansion efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in the legal or professional services sector and a strong understanding of the Asia-Pacific legal market.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

Develop and implement integrated marketing and business development (BD) strategies aligned with firm objectives.

Generate strategic positioning and messaging for the firm's BD initiatives.

Promote best-practice BD processes and policies within the firm and provide strategic BD advice to the Firm's leadership, practice groups, and Partners.

Assist practice groups and Partners in the development and implementation of BD plans, and in tracking progress against deliverables.

Client & Market Engagement

Manage client feedback programs and identify cross-selling opportunities.

Oversee client relationship and management activities, including client events.

Leverage analysis of client data, deal databases, and industry insights to expand relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities and leads

Managerial Duties

Lead, manage, and mentor the business development team.

Foster collaboration between marketing and BD functions to ensure alignment and efficiency.

Ensure timely delivery of projects and adherence to Firm standards and branding.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in any discipline

Minimally 10 years of experience in business development within a law firm or professional services environment.

Proven experience in team leadership and people management.

Strong understanding of the legal market in Singapore and Asia‐Pacific.

Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proficiency in CRM systems, digital marketing tools, and analytics platforms.
