Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • , initial diagnosis, ticketing, and prioritisation.
  • Incident response (L1 / L2) : Troubleshoot per SLA, apply workarounds, escalate to engineering / providers, and drive closure with clear comms.
  • Cross-border services : Support IPLC / IEPL, IP Transit, MPLS / VPN; coordinate maintenance windows, change execution, and rollback plans.
  • Change & validation : Pre-checks, implementation checkpoints, PIV; keep rollback readiness and change hygiene.
  • Performance & capacity : Track utilisation, produce weekly / monthly reports, and recommend tuning / expansion.
  • Documentation : Maintain topology, SOP / runbooks, RCAs, and audit-ready ticket records.
  • Shift coverage : Participate in rostered shift / on-call to meet priority incident needs.

What You Bring

  • Education : Bachelor’s in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science , or related.
  • Experience : 2–4 years in NOC / network operations (L1 / L2) within carrier or large enterprise environments, operating to SLAs.
  • Networking : Working knowledge of IP / MPLS, BGP / OSPF, VLAN, QoS, ACL, NAT ; familiarity with OTN / DWDM / SDH is a plus.
  • Tools : Hands-on with monitoring / ticketing (Zabbix / PRTG / SolarWinds, ServiceNow / Jira / Remedy), basic CLI, and Wireshark packet reads.
  • Communication : Crisp incident notes, timely updates, and confident vendor / customer coordination.
  • Language : English and Mandarin — Mandarin is required to liaise with China-based technical teams and review Mandarin technical / contract materials (business necessity).
  • Eligibility : Legally able to work in Singapore; open to night / weekend shifts per roster.
  • Nice to Have

  • Certifications : CCNA / HCNA / CCNP / HCIP , ITIL Foundation , or equivalent.
  • Exposure to MVNO / mobile platforms, large campus networks, or carrier-grade integrations.
  • RCA writing, problem management, or change management experience.
