Roles & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Construction Manager to establish the overall Project Execution Plan.
  • To familiarize with the Site Business Plan and implement accordingly.
  • To lead a group of Superintendent / Supervisor / Engineer in developing constructability studies and method statements.
  • To implement all controls and procedures for the project.
  • To prepare Look-Ahead plan for project priorities so as to provide the team members with up-dated priorities as the project progresses.
  • Review the progress and overall project budget and schedule periodically.
  • Review the project execution plans and changes to determine priorities resources and performance.
  • To review manpower and equipment schedule.
  • Carry out regular and ad-hoc meetings with each team and with customers to review project progress, highlight critical issues and changes, review operational efficiencies, improve work flows and processes, share knowledge, provide guidance and to resolve problems, so that efficiency and productivity are maximized.
  • Ensure that each site keep, maintains and up-dates records of workers’ licenses / certificates, tools / equipment / machinery certificates as required by regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate closely with the Engineering and Quality Division on technical support, workers’ skills training and certification, ISO requirement, Quality tests / inspections and compliance; and with HSSE Section on all HSSE requirements.
  • Develop detailed plans to maximize available materials, human resources, existing structures and processes based on the formulated business plan.
  • Carry out post-project reviews with each team on completion of each project, to understand mistakes made, recognize good and innovative work and draw learning points, so that future projects can be better performed.

Qualification & Experience Generally Required

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Chemical Engineering or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferably good with both written and spoken English.
  • Strong leader qualities.
  • Good analytical and quality conceptual skills.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Able to manage project independently with a large manpower.
  • Able to complete projects within budget and schedule.
  • Able to interpret Engineering drawings.
