Roles & Responsibilities
As a Sales Associate, your primary responsibility is to drive sales growth through achieving targets and delivering exceptional customer service. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by engaging with customers in a friendly and personalized manner, addressing their needs, and resolving any concerns. The retail sales associate should be passionate about people and eager to develop new customer-service skills, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the store.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Customer Service Excellence
- Engage customers with expertise by providing 1-to-1 personalized advice on golf equipment, accessories, apparel and services based on customers' needs and preferences
- Create a memorable shopping experience by providing exceptional level of customer service that exceeds customer expectations and always be approachable and gracious in all customer interactions
- Handle inquiries and complaints professionally and resolve customers’ concerns with patience and efficiency to ensure customer satisfaction
2.Sales Commitment
Achieve or exceed weekly sales target, proactive in promoting products that suit customer needs and cross-selling complementary goods and services to boost salesExecute in store marketing and promotional displays based on company’s guidelines and support local golf sales eventsDemonstrate product knowledge and continuous learning for latest golf products, trends, and promotions to service customers’ inquiries3.Inventory Management
Monitor stock levels to ensure shelves are always well-stocked, tidy, and reflect accurate inventory levels to avoid customer dissatisfactionConduct regular inventory checks and assist in cycle counts and annual stock takes to maintain inventory accuracy and prevent shrinkageAssist in coordinating with stock merchandisers and report low-stock or overstock situations to the team to support inventory management. (pending Cindy)4.Store Operation & Safety
Maintain store cleanliness to ensure the store is clean, organized, and presentable to reflect the brand's professionalism and attract customersMaintain merchandise in accordance with company’s visual merchandising guidelines. Actively participate in all merchandising activities including, but not limited to, daily stock maintenance, product transfers, and folding clothes.Support operational efficiency and to assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and securing the premises.5.ILG Membership
Register new members : Actively encourage customers to sign up and assist them through the registration processPromote ILG membership benefits : Educate customers on the advantages of ILG membership, such as exclusive discounts, events, and perksBuild customer loyalty : Cultivate long-term relationships through personalized service and follow-ups to encourage repeat businessExperience and Skills :
At least 1 year in a similar role within the retail industryProven experience in achieving sales targets and KPIsStrong clients focus with an ability to build lasting relationshipsExceptional verbal and presentation skillsPositive, collaborative, and goal-oriented team memberFriendly, professional demeanour with effective communicationAbility to perform well in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrates punctuality, honesty, and disciplineSelf-motivated, driven, and open to feedbackAble to commit to rotating shifts (opening & closing hrs)Benefits :
