Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for economic and market analysis within the Deutsche Bank Group and covers asset allocation, fixed income markets, and all major industry sectors. Our research analysts analyze relevant market trends, highlights risks and opportunities, and act as consultants for the bank, its clients, and stakeholders. Our mission is to deliver high-quality independent analysis that helps investors understand markets and promotes public debate.
This position is for a role within the bank’s highly ranked Global Emerging Markets Research Team, with a dedicated focus on Asian currency and interest rate markets

Your key responsibilities :
Conduct timely, insightful analysis on markets in Asia with a particular focus on India and ASEAN
Analyze economic developments from macro data releases, capital flows, and central bank and government policies to generate investment and hedging recommendations for Deutsche Bank’s clients, with a particular focus on currency and interest rate markets
Write for regional and global publications on investment opportunities, trading recommendations and market themes in Asia
Present ideas and recommendations to the bank’s clients through multiple channels, including marketing trips to various geographies
Support key internal stakeholders, including Senior Management in the Investment Bank and Global Research, for topics related to Asia
Your skills and experience :
University degree in Economics and / or Finance, and comfortable with programming languages (Python, R) and handling big data
8+ years of experience and knowledge working as an Economist or Strategist covering FX & Rates products
Deep understanding of Asian markets (ASEAN and / or India), including regulatory landscape, policy architecture and market instruments
A keen interest in, and passion for, financial markets, macroeconomics, and current affairs
Good interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication in English
Desire to take initiative, express intellectual curiosity, propose new ideas, deliver on independent projects, and excel in a fast-paced environment
Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply
