Roles & Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Supervisor (Food Oriented) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of food service activities, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards, maintaining excellent customer service, and managing staff effectively to achieve operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Supervise daily food service or production operations to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor food preparation, presentation, and quality to meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations (NEA, SFA, HACCP, ISO standards where applicable).
  • Manage inventory levels, track wastage, and oversee ordering of supplies.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints promptly.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, train, and motivate staff to maintain high standards of service and food quality.
  • Prepare staff rosters, monitor attendance, and allocate duties fairly.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development.
  • Ensure discipline and adherence to company policies among team members.
  • Customer Service

  • Ensure a welcoming and professional environment for customers.
  • Address customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Promote upselling of products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
  • Financial & Administrative Duties

  • Assist in monitoring sales, controlling costs, and meeting revenue targets.
  • Verify cash handling, daily sales reports, and stock usage.
  • Support management in implementing promotional activities and operational strategies.
  • Job Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Food & Beverage Management, Hospitality, or related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of supervisory experience in F&B, catering, or food production.
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and workplace safety standards in Singapore.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer-oriented mindset.
  • Bilingual (English + Mother Tongue / Tamil / Chinese / Malay) preferred for team and customer interaction.
