Position Overview
The Bellman creates the first impression to arriving guests. The individual directs vehicular flow at the driveway, greets guests and directs them to the check-in desk, provides luggage and item delivery assistance, escorts guests to their designated rooms, explains the use of room amenities and facilities, as well as addresses guests' queries and requests.
The Role
- Direct and control vehicular flow at driveway
- Assist with car and hotel doors
- Greet guests and assist with directions and other enquiries
- Provide luggage assistance to arriving and departing guests
- Escort guests to their rooms and explain the use of room amenities and facilities
- Assist guests with ground transportation in a timely manner
- Deliver incoming items to guest rooms
- Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of the luggage rooms, trolleys and buggies.
- Update records on completed work tasks and work items for handover
- Ensure that hotel shuttle bus and limousine services are carried out smoothly and properly
- Assist the front desk if required to maintain an orderly hotel lobby

Minimum Secondary qualificationExperience in guest services or bell desk operations in luxury hotels or resortsAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentMust be in good physical condition as job requires lifting and moving of heavy / bulky itemsAble to maintain a high level of composure in a busy environmentHaving a vehicle driving license is an advantageWilling to work on rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
