About the Role

IFCHOR GALBRAITHS is seeking an experienced Senior Capesize Shipbroker to join our expanding dry bulk freight team in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity for a proven shipbroker to leverage their Capesize chartering expertise, global client relationships, and deal-making skills within one of the world’s largest international shipbroking companies.

You will play a central role in strengthening our Capesize dry bulk presence with a focus on Pacific markets, working closely with our global offices and clients. This position is designed for a senior professional who can operate independently, originate new business, and consistently deliver high-value solutions to shipowners, charterers, and traders.

Responsibilities

Build, manage, and expand long-term relationships with Capesize shipowners, charterers, operators, and traders.

Negotiate and conclude time charter, voyage charter, and contracts of affreightment (COAs) in the Capesize segment.

Provide clients with timely market analysis, freight intelligence, and FFA insights.

Collaborate with colleagues across our global dry bulk platform to ensure smooth execution of fixtures and contracts.

Actively identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of our Capesize desk in Singapore and Asia-Pacific.

Lead client coverage across the region, while supporting Atlantic business when required.

Skills & Experience

Proven track record in Capesize shipbroking or dry bulk chartering.

Strong existing network of owners, charterers, and traders in the Capesize market.

Excellent negotiation, closing, and relationship management skills.

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to generate new cargo and tonnage business.

Team player with the ability to work effectively across international shipbroking offices.
