Description

The Technology Architect (TA) plays a core technical role in the development of our enterprise architecture landscape and is actively involved in ensuring the bank’s initiatives align to the target architecture. The TA shapes and steers the application architecture and design for the solution, with a strong technical background. Influencing skills are a must, not only to resolve conflicts, but also to manage stakeholders across the business and IT community. The candidate should already have the ability to think laterally and quickly grasp key concepts, have a positive attitude and be resilient when dealing with challenges. Within the team, the TA is expected to contribute actively to overall architecture governance via reviews of proposed solutions, uphold existing standards and processes, and to suggest improvements where necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Solution Design

Lead the solution design and development of solutions that meet the business and technical requirements.

Define and document architectural standards, principles, and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability across systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration and interoperability of various systems and applications.

Collaborate with IT teams, including infrastructure, security, and development teams, to ensure the successful implementation of technology solutions.

Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments to support decision-making processes.

Strategy and Planning

Collaborate with business and technology leaders to understand their strategic objectives and define the technology roadmap for the respective domains.

Engage with business stakeholders, including private banking executives and relationship managers, to understand their needs and translate them into technology solutions.

Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring their solutions align with the enterprise architecture and meet business requirements.

Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and industry innovations to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage.

Governance and Compliance

Conduct regular architecture reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and address any architectural risks or issues.

Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure adherence to architectural principles and guidelines.

Enforce governance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related.

Proven 15 years   IT experience including at least 8 years of experience in a similar enterprise or solution architecture role, with excellent track record of delivery.

Strong knowledge of private banking and wealth management products, processes, and regulatory requirements.

In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, and proficiency in architectural modeling tools.

Experience in designing and implementing technology solutions, including integration, data management, and security.

Strong technical background in integration with a good understanding of API / Microservices concepts, software design patterns, event based processing, XML concepts and tools (DTD, XSD, XML parsers).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Relevant certifications, such as TOGAF, ITIL, or CISSP, are highly desirable.
