Job description

Location : Haw Par Villa

Position : Baker (R&D) Job ID : 19916- CK

Salary : Basic up to $3,800

5 days work week

Responsibilities :

Daily preparation and production of cake and pastry products sample.
Perform baking comparison test by incorporating emulsifiers into baked products.
Creating new product prototypes and recipe formulation including tweaking the taste profiles of the food products as based on food taste test results / experimentation.
Responsible for the conceptualization, development, testing and scaling of new recipes.
To conduct sensory evaluation and approval of new products / recipes.
Ensure good personal hygiene, proper sanitation and cleanliness of work area and kitchen tools.
Decorating finished products.
Assist in the modification and improvement of baking products to ensure it is relevant to the current needs of the target customer.
Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the superior.

Requirements :

Minimum Polytechnic Diploma

3 years' working experience in the cake bakery

Passion for baking and positive attitude

Create and innovative

Highly motivated, customer-centric, and able to work independently

Good communication skills

Good interpersonal skills

Possess knowledge of baking skills and techniques

Maintain a good knowledge of industry trends and changes
