Job Description : Assistant Finance Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Manager to support our fast-growing agricultural business. This role combines financial planning & analysis with statutory and management reporting, ensuring that our farming and agribusiness in Singapore are backed by strong financial governance and insights.

The ideal candidate will bring both technical accounting expertise and a commercial mindset to help us manage growth, optimize working capital, and drive efficiency across the agricultural value chain.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Consolidate and prepare Group financial reports across in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts with insights on crop production, farm operations, and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct balance sheet analysis and recommend best practices for working capital and inventory management in the agricultural context.

Statutory & Compliance

  • Lead the annual statutory audit process and ensure compliance with audit, tax, and ACRA requirements.
  • Oversee timely filing of statutory returns in line with agricultural business structures.
  • Maintain compliance with local and regional reporting regulations.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow

  • Develop and monitor annual budgets with alignment to farm production cycles and agribusiness planning.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, factoring in seasonality and capital expenditure for agricultural projects.
  • Partner with management to track variances and optimize cost efficiency.
  • Systems, Controls & Processes

  • Ensure adherence to financial internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Establish Group accounting policies suited to an agricultural business environment.
  • Drive process improvements and support system implementation and digitalization.
  • Coordination & Business Partnering

  • Collaborate closely with farm operations, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure financial data supports business decisions.
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, company secretary, and agricultural authorities.
  • Provide financial insights that support growth strategies in sustainable agriculture.
  • Scope

  • Responsible for Group consolidated financials for Singapore operations.
  • Support ad-hoc projects including expansion initiatives, sustainability reporting.
  • Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting & finance, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or agriculture-related industries.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA with a degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Dynamics, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, statutory compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Hands-on, meticulous, and detail-oriented, with a strong learning attitude.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner across farm operations and management.
