On behalf of one of its clients, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Business Development Director
The hiring company is a leading subscription-based platform offering insights and data subscriptions to leading luxury brands across different luxury verticals, looking to gain affluent consumers’ market share.
To support the continued growth of its Data and Insights Platform, the company is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Business Development Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with corporate clients, agencies, and other strategic stakeholders.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients in the luxury and premium sectors
- Qualify leads, initiate meaningful conversations, and craft tailored proposals that align with each prospect's specific needs and goals.
- Collaborate closely with the company’s senior leadership to guide commercial strategy and manage existing accounts.
- Ensure ongoing client satisfaction and consistent delivery of value.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and professional gatherings.
- Organize exclusive, client-focused experiences such as round tables and insight-sharing sessions.
- Support the positioning of the platform as a thought leader in affluent consumer insights.
- Help strengthen the company’s visibility within the luxury and premium industries.
- Communicate the value of data-driven solutions confidently to senior-level executives.
- Actively contribute to a fast-growing and innovative team, playing a key role in shaping the platform’s future.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Proven track record in business development, with experience engaging decision-makers in the luxury and premium sectors3 to 6 years of sales experience, preferably within information services or similar B2B environments targeting senior audiencesBackground in market research or consulting is highly valued, especially with knowledge of the luxury and premium brand landscapePosition Requirements
Passionate about consumer insights and working collaboratively with clients to address their information and strategic needsComfortable with consultative, subscription-based selling, ideally of data or SaaS platformsStrong history of meeting or exceeding sales targets, supported by a robust local professional networkExcellent communication and presentation skills, able to clearly articulate complex value propositionsHands-on and hard-working, with a strong motivation to grow within a fast-paced, high-growth, and entrepreneurial environmentHigh energy, proactive mindset, and a determined “go-getter” attitudeProficient with CRM tools such as SalesforceWillingness to travel as required to support client relationships and business development initiatives
