Regional Senior Director and General Manager, Consumer Hearing APAC

Sonova's Consumer Hearing business seeks to capture growth opportunities in the fast-growing market for premium headphones, the emerging segment of speech-enhanced hearables, as well as expand Sennheiser’s leadership position in the audiophile category. The Sr. Director & GM of Sonova´s APAC Consumer Hearing Business will be responsible for developing, leading, and driving the go-to-market strategy, in pursuit of profitable sales growth, increased brand awareness and customer satisfaction, and a consistently growing market share.

Your tasks will be : Business Strategy

  • Creating a multi-year omnichannel growth roadmap to implement the enterprise strategy within the Asia Pacific region, identifying and prioritizing the most critical future success factors and addressing changes or trends in the external landscape.
  • Driving the execution of CHB go-to-market strategies to successfully drive profitable growth and market share gain year-on-year with clear channel / distribution strategies across the total CHB business.

P&L Management

  • Owning the P&L, from gross sales to net sales and down to regional ebita.
  • Leading the regional multi-functional team, providing direct leadership to all sales employees for Premium Headphones, Audiophile and Hearing Care product categories, and dotted line / business leadership for the full organization.
  • Driving Results

  • Setting continually higher goals for the team that are ambitious but achievable, identifying and acting on new opportunities that enable performance targets to be exceeded.
  • Establishing and implementing short and long-range goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures for the region, based on global guidance.
  • Setting both annual and monthly sales objectives in line with the Company's business plan and enabling local teams within the region to deliver against those plans.
  • Leading Teams

  • Managing the regional leadership team, comprised of 6 Country / Cluster General Managers (Greater China, India, South-East Asia, ANZ, South Korea, Japan) and regional function leads, through an inclusive one-team approach.
  • Engaging, motivating and supporting our diverse talent through development, empowerment and recognition and driving overall team engagement.
  • Leading and inspiring continuous improvement with a strong 'can-do' mentality.
  • Inspiring Change

  • Communicating a new direction or change with a clear rationale and sense of urgency, adapting approach and style to different audiences.
  • Taking personal ownership, whilst also holding the team accountable for advancing significant change.
  • Your profile :

  • 15+ years of business experience gained across FMCG and / or consumer electronics.
  • General Management experience with an expert-level sales background.
  • Preferably a classically trained FMCG commercial leader who has successfully worked in a matrix organization, having managed large key accounts and adopting an omnichannel approach.
  • Has worked extensively across the Asia Pacific region, ideally combining experience in multiple local market roles as well as regional roles.
  • Track record of scaling businesses and driving substantial, profitable revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to inspire and lead teams through change.
  • Higher education with a technical or commercial degree.
  • Willingness to be based in Singapore and travel up to 50%.
