Job description

The Network Technician is responsible for installing,amending, and removing unnecessary cablings and other networkperipherals.

The activities may include but notlimited to :

  • Install well-functioningcomputer networks, connections, and cabling.
  • Perform troubleshooting to system failures and identifybottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network.
  • Inspect LAN infrastructure and fix minor or majorproblems / bugs.
  • Test and configure software andmaintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Evaluate network performance and find ways ofimprovement

  • Experiencedin Layer 1 Physical administration in enterprise DC and PortEnvironment.
  • Responsibilities Analyzing,troubleshooting, and correcting network problemsremotely / on-site
  • Maintaining an inventory ofnetwork equipment along with their specifications
  • Troubleshooting problems with computers, printers,network devices, or other network components to ensure optimalperformance.
  • Provide support for Level 1escalated issues.
  • Performing standard orproject change request as per change window (non-businesshours)
  • Performs any other related duties asassigned by the team lead / manager.

  • Temperature(Check the location of the temperature and inform the authority orour engineer)
  • Other Environmental Factors(Dust, Dirt etc.), if Duty then need to clean the rack or spacewhere device is located.
  • Physical Health ofDevice (Randomly need to check the device health).
  • AGV Preventive Maintenance.
  • RackMount and Dismount (Installation, Removal andAddition)

    • Labelling

  • Labelling Condition (verifylabelling of device if not okay then need to relabel thedevice.

    • Skillsfor Success

  • Mustpossess a valid Singapore class 3 driving license
  • Diploma in Computer Science / IT or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in hands-on experience withcommon software and hardware installation anddeployment
