Job descriptionProvide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nursing care. Assist with patient transfer to and from the operating theatre and recovery areas. Monitor and support patients during recovery. Maintain OT cleanliness and housekeeping in accordance with infection control standards. Assist in managing the operating theatre facility and ensuring readiness for daily lists. Support procedures across multiple specialities including ENT, Plastics, Urology, Dental, Ophthalmology, and O&G. Carry out other duties as assigned by Nurse Managers or Clinical Leads. Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution approved by Singapore Nursing Board (SNB). Valid SNB registration. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Operating Theatre / Day Surgery settings. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment. Able to commit to rotating shifts (Weekdays 7am- 7pm / Saturdays 7am – 1pm). Prior scrubbing experience across multiple surgical specialties. BCLS and ACLS certification. Positive, proactive team player willing to support new initiatives. Work in a modern, well-equipped day surgery environment. Enjoy stable working hours (no night shifts). Key Responsibilities
Intraoperative & Perioperative Care :
- Prepare and perform all surgical procedures in a sterile manner, ensuring asepsis and sterility at all times.
- Coordinate and prepare surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables according to the daily surgical list and surgeon preferences.
- Perform scrubbing, circulating, and recovery nurse duties as required.
- Participate in safe anaesthetic care for general, regional, and deep sedation cases.
- Conduct complete instrument and accessory counts at key operative stages.
- Handle sharps and contaminated waste safely and effectively.
