Role Description

  • Perform accounting, financial and management reporting tasks for LaSalle’s business in Asia Pacific including Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Korea
  • Provide support in finance & accounting matters generally and contribute towards the growth of the firm’s business

Responsibilities

  • Involvement in revenue recognition, billing and collection process
  • Monthly and quarterly accounts closing and financial reporting :
  • coordinate with JLL shared services teams and JLL local finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (including communicating appropriate journal entries) and billing
  • review monthly reports from Peoplesoft system and prepare variance analysis
  • monthly review of Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • prepare quarterly reports required by Global Finance team
  • attend to queries from Global Finance team during quarterly USGAAP audits
  • preparation of regulatory reports
  • Oversee payments, fund transfers and maintain appropriate cash flow processes to enable efficient management of cash balances
  • Work with payroll service provider on payroll and payroll related matters
  • Assist with preparation and lodgement of direct / indirect tax returns and assist LaSalle Tax team with annual income tax queries
  • Assist in annual external & internal audits
  • Work closely with LaSalle’s Legal & Compliance team on corporate secretarial, governance and regulatory compliance matters as required
  • Implement and ensure compliance with internal controls and appropriate financial control systems
  • Assist with regional reporting for Asia Pacific
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting exercise
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for all financial reporting processes and / or other projects as and when required
  • Experience, Qualifications and Competencies Required

  • Chartered Accountant, Bachelors (or equivalent) in Finance / Accounting
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience
  • Experience in real estate industry preferred, with prior experience in large accounting and audit firms
  • Experience in ERP system preferred
  • Technically strong in financial reporting and accounting standards
  • Organized, meticulous and attentive to all aspects of their tasks to ensure accuracy and excellence
  • Ability to work independently, highly efficient and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work on a collaborative basis with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds across the region and globally
