As the Head of Sales for Asia-Pacific (APAC), you will be responsible for leading and driving the sales strategy, team management, and business growth across the APAC region. You will develop and execute comprehensive sales plans, explore new markets, deepen existing client relationships, and ensure the achievement of aggressive revenue and profit targets. This role demands exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and a deep understanding of the supply chain / freight forwarding industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop and implement APAC sales strategies, objectives, and annual operational plans aligned with global company goals.
- Lead efforts to penetrate new markets and acquire new clients, particularly in high-growth sectors and key verticals (e.g., technology, retail, automotive, new energy), to expand the business footprint.
- Deepen relationships with existing strategic accounts to maximize wallet share, ensure customer satisfaction, and foster long-term loyalty.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to provide strategic input for product and service innovation.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing APAC sales team, including sales directors and managers across the region.
- Establish an efficient sales management system covering goal setting, performance management, forecasting, and reporting.
- Oversee recruitment, training, coaching, and talent development to build a top-tier sales organization.
- Foster a results-driven, accountable, and innovative team culture.
3. Key Account Management & Relationship Building
Personally engage in and lead negotiations and relationship management with key strategic and multinational clients.Collaborate closely with marketing, product, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless, end-to-end customer experiences.Represent the company at industry summits and executive forums to enhance the company’s brand influence and market position in APAC.4. Performance & P&L Management
Take full ownership of key financial metrics for the APAC region, including sales revenue, profit margins, and market share.Monitor sales budgets and expenses to maximize ROI.Design and optimize sales incentive mechanisms to drive team performance and goal attainment.Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree or higher; preference for majors in Business Administration, Logistics / Supply Chain, International Trade, or related fields.10+ years of experience in renowned international logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain solutions companies, with at least 5 years in APAC or equivalent regional sales leadership roles (e.g., APAC Sales Director, Vice President of Sales).Proven success in developing new markets or business lines from scratch, with extensive experience managing multinational key accounts.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse, cross-country sales teams.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Preferred
Established business network and resources across APAC (especially Southeast Asia, ANZ, and North Asia).Strong business acumen, strategic planning skills, and financial analysis capabilities.Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.Seniority Level
