Overview
Polaris IT Solutions Inc. is looking for its first dedicated data hire – a versatile professional who can own the entire data lifecycle. This hybrid role combines the technical foundation of a Data Engineer with the business-driven insights of a Data Analyst. You’ll build the data platform, define key metrics, and turn raw data into actionable insights that directly influence product, marketing, and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and infrastructure.Define, track, and report on critical business metrics and KPIs.Develop dashboards and communicate insights across the organization.Implement data governance, quality, and compliance standards.3+ years in a data-focused role (Analyst, Engineer, or similar).Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.).Workflow orchestration (Airflow or similar).Experience with data governance / catalog tools (dbt, Apache Atlas).Knowledge of A / B testing and statistical methods.Background in B2B SaaS or e-commerce.Detailed Job Description
As a Data Engineer (The Builder) :
Build the Data Platform : Design, build, and maintain end-to-end ETL / ELT pipelines.Architect the Infrastructure : Select and implement core data infrastructure (cloud data warehouse, data lake).Ensure Data Integrity : Create robust data quality checks, monitoring, and governance standards.Manage Data Sources : Connect and manage data from APIs, databases, and event logs.As a Data Analyst (The Insight Generator) :
Drive Business Decisions : Perform deep-dive analyses to uncover trends and opportunities.Define and Track Metrics : Partner with teams to define and monitor KPIs.Create Dashboards & Reports : Build and maintain BI dashboards for company-wide accessibility.Present Findings : Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable business recommendations.As a Data Governance & Lineage Lead (The Guardian) :
