Operation Supervisor – Laundry Factory
Job Purpose :
The Operation Supervisor will oversee daily operations of the laundry factory to ensure smooth workflow, efficiency, and quality standards. This role is responsible for managing production schedules, supervising staff, monitoring equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Operations Management
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily laundry operations (washing, drying, pressing, folding, and packing).
- Monitor production schedules to ensure timely completion and delivery of orders.
- Ensure proper sorting and handling of different fabric types according to washing instructions.
- Maintain quality control by inspecting cleaned items and ensuring they meet required standards.
- Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.
2. Staff Supervision & Training
Supervise laundry workers, machine operators, and other staff members.Prepare and manage shift schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels.Train employees on standard operating procedures (SOPs), machine handling, and safety guidelines.Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews to ensure high productivity.3. Equipment & Maintenance
Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules.Report equipment breakdowns and work closely with maintenance teams for repairs.Ensure proper usage of detergents, chemicals, and other consumables.4. Inventory & Resource Management
Monitor stock levels of detergents, chemicals, packaging materials, and uniforms.Coordinate procurement with the purchasing team to avoid shortages or overstocking.Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.5. Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and hygiene regulations.Conduct safety briefings and enforce use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Maintain accurate operational records and reports for management review.6. Customer Service & Coordination
Liaise with clients to understand requirements and resolve complaints or special requests.Coordinate with logistics for smooth collection and delivery of laundry orders.Support management in implementing service improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.Key Requirements :
Education : Minimum Higher Diploma in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.Experience : Minimum 3 years’ experience in laundry operations, factory supervision, or production management.Skills :
Strong leadership and team management skills
Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment and processes
Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
Basic computer literacy (Excel, email communication, scheduling software)
