seeking a Treatment Coordinator to serve as a patient concierge and
advocate. This role is crucial for ensuring a seamless and
enjoyable experience for patients. The ideal candidate will be a
liaison for patients, particularly when communicating with them and
authorized third parties about their
treatment.
Key
Responsibilities
The Treatment
Coordinator's main responsibilities include working with dentists
and hygienists to manage comprehensive treatment planning, patient
education, financial planning, and scheduling. This is a customer
service-focused position that requires a basic knowledge of
dentistry.
The successful candidate will be
present during all open clinic hours to service patients,
coordinate with providers, and oversee the daily
schedule.
Duties
New and Existing Patients
The Treatment Coordinator
will :
open hours.
Greet every patient and answer any questions they have about their
treatment.
patients before their appointment with the dentist.
Prepare and present comprehensive treatment plans to patients in
coordination with dental assistants.
one to two days after treatment to check on them and answer
questions.
financial inquiries within 24 hours.
treatment letters, including referral letters and insurance

Scheduling
Scheduling
is a critical part of this role. The Treatment Coordinator should
always be aware of the schedule, including upcoming daily and
weekly appointments, and identify areas that need to be
filled.

maximize provider time.
system to catalogue outstanding treatment and contact patients who
are overdue for hygiene recalls.
also use the "short list" to contact patients with outstanding
treatment to fill the schedule on short

Payment Agreements &
Treatment Plan Acceptance
The Treatment
Coordinator is responsible for managing patient payment agreements
and outstanding payments.
treatment costs with patients, draft payment agreements, and ensure
payments are made on time.
outstanding money owed on payment agreements must be provided to
the clinic manager.
regarding refunds, credits, and vouchers, and report these to the
accounting department for processing.
Coordinator will track and report all treatment plan acceptance
rates.
Additionally, the Treatment Coordinator
will be responsible for performing all Front Desk Executive duties
if the front desk is short-staffed.
