Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for an Operations Analyst to join the Global Financial Markets Operations team at a leading bank on a 12-month contract. This role will support trade reporting operations and help ensure the bank meets regulatory requirements across different markets. You will gain exposure to financial products, global regulations, and work closely with business, legal, compliance, and technology teams. This role is suitable for early-career professionals who are keen to build a career in banking operations and financial markets.

Mandatory Skill-set

  • Must have a Degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline;
  • Open to entry-level candidates (with strong internship exposure), or 1–3 years’ experience in banking operations, financial markets, or trade reporting;
  • Must have some understanding of OTC derivatives and trade life-cycle management;
  • Must have knowledge of regulatory reporting obligations (e.g. MAS, ASIC, MiFID, EMIR, CFTC) is an advantage;
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and strong attention to detail;
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skill-set

  • Prior exposure to Trade Repository (TR) reporting systems such as DTCC-GTR;
  • Knowledge of control frameworks and risk management processes;
  • Experience in process improvement or automation initiatives.
  • Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end OTC trade life-cycle reporting for derivatives products;
  • Validate daily Trade Repository (TR) reports, investigate discrepancies, and resolve rejected trades;
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of regulatory submissions;
  • Monitor acknowledgements and reconciliations of submitted reports in TR systems (e.g. DTCC-GTR);
  • Work with stakeholders (Business, Legal, Compliance, Technology) to support reporting requirements and process improvements;
  • Support New Product Approvals (NPA) and ensure regulatory obligations are identified and addressed;
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation, and risk control initiatives;
  • Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements.
