Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Pilates Instructor to join our team!
Role & Responsibilities :
- Conduct physical assessments of new private and duet clients to identify weaknesses, imbalances and movement patterns for correction
- Tailor Pilates sessions to private and semi-private clients of all ages and conditions to help them achieve their health and fitness goals integrating the learnings from the initial physical assessments
- Safely and sustainbly teach clients of all ages and rehabilitate those of special populations (including but not limited to Pre / Post-natal, post-surgery, post-injury, post-stroke, with Parkinsons, cancer, etc.) by selecting exercises that are both beneficial and appropriate as well as ensuring proper form throughout
- Motivate clients by helping them build up their health and fitness (including but not limited to strength, flexibility, mobility, balance) so that they can see / feel the difference, while also tracking their progress and doing re-assessments when appropriate
- Design & teach group classes based on difficulty level and theme given by the studio while providing sufficient correction and cueing - creating a safe yet challenging session that builds up a regular, loyal base of group class clients
- Help to cover other instructor's group classes and private clients where possible when the need arises
- Participate in studio's Instructor Sharing Program as required and offer guidance and advice to more junior instructors
- Communicate promptly and reliably with our admin team about clients and your own schedule to ensure smooth scheduling of clients with minimum disruptions
- Use MindBody software / app to check-out clients when admin team is off-duty
Qualifications & Experience :
Internationally recognised certification on all Pilates ApparatusCertification for Pre / Post-Natal Pilates and Pilates for Special Populations certifications or other certifications demonstrating capability to work with more physically complex clients as a plusMinimum 7 years of regular Pilates teaching experience (around 35,000 hours)Experience teaching in a gym / studio environmentAbility to build a regular client baseRequirement :
Must be willing to work at least 135 hours per monthWorking schedule must include both weekend days and at least two nightsTell employers what skills you have
