HSE Officer (Jurong Island / Petrochemical / Terminals) - Islandwide, SG

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

• Act as Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) and manage 3rd-party security providers to meet ISPS requirements.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing HSESQ management systems and supporting manuals.
• Conduct safety induction courses, toolbox meetings, and ensure compliance with in-house HSE rules, regulations, and risk-based work activities.
• Participate in accident / incident investigations and support implementation of recommendations.
• Lead / participate in HSE inspections, drills, exercises, committee meetings, programs, and campaigns to raise employee awareness. Act as Committee Secretary for planning activities and meetings.
• Conduct and audit emergency / security drills; support emergency response activities; audit compliance with permits, safe work practices, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Identify hazardous workplace conditions, conduct industrial hygiene measurements (physical / chemical exposures), recommend controls / PPE, and issue stop-work orders when necessary.
• Liaise with local authorities and Group HSESQ on inspections, audits, drills, and regulatory issues.
• Organize HSESQ programs, events, and promotional activities.
• Perform duties as Fire Safety Manager (FSM) to ensure compliance with SCDF and GEHS regulations.
