Roles & Responsibilities

The Meiji Group has developed strong brand recognition in the Asia Pacific area through many decades of offering a wide range of Meiji products, including confectionery and dairy products. The region is projected to experience further business growth by building a value chain and evolve into a management structure that enables us to provide value that is more aligned with local needs.

We are looking for a Sales Manager to take charge and oversee the growth of our overseas operations :

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow Meiji’s presence and market share.
  • Manage and build relationships with retail partners, and key accounts.
  • Conduct regular visits to the overseas markets to gather market intelligence and maintain partnerships.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of product delivery, promotions.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyse market trends, and provide reports with actionable insights to regional leadership.
  • Ensure brand consistency and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the key contact point for all matters related to the overseas market(s).

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in FMCG or consumer goods.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive results across borders are welcomed.
  • Experience in the Southeast Asian market, with the Philippines and / or Vietnam market experience being highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of consumer goods relating to confectionary, cacao, chocolate and / or nutrition will be considered favourably.
  • Liaise with stakeholders in English, and in the overseas market’s local language is highly preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience working in or with Japanese companies are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel to the overseas market(s) as needed.
