Pre School Early Years English Teacher

Job Scope - Preschool Teacher (EY2 Certified)

1. Curriculum Planning & Implementation

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum frameworks
• Create engaging learning materials and classroom setups
• Observe and document children's development to inform teaching
• Apply effective classroom and behaviour management strategies
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards

2. Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong relationships with families to support continuity of care
• Coordinate and engage with families, volunteers, and community partners
• Support the development of centre-wide family and community initiatives

3. Caregiving & Daily Routines

• Conduct assessments and ensure quality of routine caregiving
• Guide care practices according to SOPs and identify areas for improvement

4. Professional Development & Practice

• Uphold centre values and contribute to a positive work environment
• Stay updated with sector trends and suggest teaching improvements
• Participate in initiatives to enhance service and teaching quality

Job Requirements

• EY2 certification with an Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in early childhood care and education (ECCE)
• Strong passion for working with children
• Proficient in Microsoft Word
• Good interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
