Job descriptionStore Operations : Managing all aspects of store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization. Sales and Profitability : Achieve sales targets, monitoring performance, and implementing strategies to achieve sales goals. Analyzing sales data and identifying opportunities for growth. Monitoring expenses and proposing cost control measures to maximize profitability. Staff Management : Implement training programs, and supervising store staff. Setting performance expectations and providing ongoing feedback. Scheduling shifts and managing payroll. Motivating and engaging employees to ensure a high level of customer service. Customer Service : Ensuring exceptional customer service standards are met by the store staff. Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and resolving any issues that may arise. Creating a positive shopping experience for customers and building customer loyalty. Merchandising and Visual Presentation : Overseeing product placement and visual displays to optimize sales and create an appealing shopping environment as per company policy. Marketing and Promotions : Collaborating with the marketing team to implement marketing campaigns and promotional activities. Monitoring the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and providing feedback to Cluster Manager. Safety and Security : Ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures. Implementing loss prevention measures to minimize theft and protect company assets. Store Policies and Procedures : Enforcing company policies and procedures. Keeping up to date with industry trends and implementing best practices to enhance store operations. Relationship Management : Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors. Collaborating with other departments, such as human resources, to ensure effective communication and coordination. Education and Experience : Minimum GCE O’level or equivalent required; a degree in business or retail management is preferred. Previous experience in retail, such as assistant manager or supervisor roles, is highly desirable. Retail Knowledge and Skills : Minimum 5 years in retail industry with minimum 3 years in the Store Manager role. Understanding of retail operations, sales techniques, merchandising, and customer service principles. Familiarity with inventory management and retail software. Leadership and Management Skills : Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team, provide clear communication and feedback, delegate tasks, and solve problems. Sales and Business Acumen : Proven track record in achieving sales targets, analyzing sales data, and implementing strategies for growth. Financial management skills and knowledge of budgeting and profitability analysis. Customer Service Focus : Commitment to exceptional customer service, handling inquiries and complaints, and building customer relationships. Organizational and Time Management Skills : Strong organizational skills to manage store operations, inventory, and staff scheduling. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Abilities : Ability to identify and resolve issues, think critically, and make sound decisions. Flexibility and Adaptability : Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Adaptability to changing circumstances and multitasking effectively.
