Responsibilities
Identity & monitor APAC market developments, trends and regulatory changes, on which to engage clients
Liaise with various internal & external stakeholders, clients and government agencies in APAC
Collaborate with colleagues across SMBC Group in APAC and in Japan, to understand and address client requirements for information
Help introduce and match clients to other clients of SMBC, and government agencies in the APAC region, where there are common interests and potential to collaborate
Assist in administrative functions – periodic reporting and internal team record-keeping tasks
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree and / or Masters degree
Proficiency in Japanese language is desirable as the team supports Japanese clients in the region and make presentation in Japanese.
Work experience / ability should be related to research and preparation of discussion papers
Good written and communication skills
5-8 years of relevant working experience
Ability to work independently on jobs assigned
Positive personality with strong work ethic
Enthusiasm & desire to work in a research and advisory role
Independent, self-motivated & strong team player with ability to work in multicultural team
