Job description :

We are seeking an experienced and passionate restaurant assistant manager to join our team at Ushidoki Wagyu Kaiseki in the heart of Downtown Tanjong Pagar. As a full-time position, you are required to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our renowned Japanese restaurant.

What you'll be doing

  • Greet and welcome guests with warm hospitality, guiding them to their tables and ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations
  • Provide attentive table service, serving dishes, and ensuring guests' needs are promptly addressed
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and preparation methods to provide informed recommendations to customers
  • Assist in the set-up and breakdown of the dining area, ensuring it is clean, well-stocked, and presented to the highest standards
  • Work and communicate closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of dishes
  • Assist restaurant manager in daily operations, any other ad hoc task if required

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar senior service or supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-end restaurant setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers in a professional and personable manner
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Thorough knowledge of food and beverage offerings. Understanding of Japanese cuisine and culture is advantage.
  • A positive, collaborative attitude and a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service
