Job Description

A Research Fellow position is available in the research group of Professor Ho Ghim Wei at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS) .

The successful candidate will be expected to :

  • Develop sustainable ionic thermoelectric material design; Electrolyte engineering; Flexible electronic device; Energy storage and conversion.
  • Investigate and optimize the electrical, mechanical, thermal, biochemical properties of hydrogels.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including materials scientists, biochemical scientists, and electronic engineers.
  • Publish journal papers and meet grant deliverables.
  • Perform routine laboratory duties.
  • Assist with other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by their immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Possess a PhD Degree in advanced functional materials and devices.
  • Hands-on experience with material synthesis, advanced characterization tools, and laboratory instruments.
  • A track record of publishing in high-impact journals related to materials science, ionic thermoelectric material design; Electrolyte engineering; flexible electronic device; electronic engineering, or related fields.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Open to Fixed Term Contract.
