Reporting to the VP, Commercial & Business Development, the Regional Business Director will be based in Singapore and will oversee Korea, Southeast Asia & Oceania travel retail business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Strategy & Business Development :
- Achieve business target through co-developing and implementing commercial strategy for full portfolio the region, aligning with global travel retail and brand objectives
- Identify and capitalize business opportunities in different markets. Anticipate challenges and ensure proposed plans are in place for market volatility or operation bottleneck to safeguard business performance.
- Drive sell-out performance of core brands and maintain sustainable growth of full portfolio through data-driven insights, retail excellence and retailer / third party agent partnership
- Grow travelers' business and shape commercial initiatives by proactively applying comprehensive knowledge of industry trends, competitor positioning, and emerging market dynamics to differentiate Shiseido Travel Retail from competition.
Key Account Management & Partnership :
Achieve business goals through building and co-developing joint business plan alongside VP- Sales with key retailers to cultivate mutually beneficial and long-term partnership.Co-develop win-win strategy with key retailers to balance retailer priorities with company targets, to address retailer needs while advancing company goals.Conduct regular business reviews with retailers to assess sales performance, identify opportunities and risks, to align and achieve business goals.Proactively work with internal and external stakeholders to monitor, evaluate and improve the inventory management process.Demonstrate solid understanding on forecast cycle and inventory management to optimize stock level, capture business opportunity and anticipate risk.Collaborate with 3rd part agent for Korea business to achieve retail and operational excellenceLeadership :
Build strong partnership with multiple region teams and 3rd party agent to travellers business growth.Lead cross-functional collaboration with marketing, supply, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of commercial strategies, operational execution, and financial objectives that collectively drive the regions performance.Exercise sound judgement in challenging scenarios, balancing short term actions with long term business health.Effectively communicate and align strategies within the team and bridge gaps between global direction and market needs by synthesizing feedback from retailers and internal stakeholders.Manage & review performance and progress of the team, setting objectives & targets and guiding the team to achieve them.REQUIREMENTS
Possess a recognized Bachelors Degree or MasterAt least 15 years of relevant work experience with proven sales recordPrior experience in sales either in Beauty retail industry or Travel Retail will be advantageousEntrepreneur spirit and sense of ownership : mature, independent, responsible and a strong team playerGood communication skills and highly adaptable to different culturesStrong negotiation skills and team management experienceAnalytical and organized with attention to detailsAble to prioritize numerous tasks and work under pressure to deliver within deadlinesStrong command of oral and written communication skillsStrong Microsoft Office skills especially Excel and PowerPointRequired travelling between Singapore, Korea, Australia, Thailand and other Southeast Asia markets is required
