Roles & Responsibilities
The Signature Research Programme in Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) aims to pioneer the development and discovery of new and more effective methods for the treatment, prevention and control of new and emerging pathogens. The key outcome of the research will be the early identification of new pathogens, out of which new diagnostic tests, treatments and control strategies will be developed.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic research team at Duke-NUS Medical School’s EID Programme, led by Dr. Alan Hsu, to drive groundbreaking research into the molecular mechanisms of severe disease pathogenesis caused by influenza viruses and SARS-CoV-2. This exciting opportunity allows a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to leverage innovative experimental models, next-generation technologies, and clinical samples to advance novel therapeutic development. As a Research Fellow, you will lead cutting-edge molecular, immunological, and bioinformatics projects, collaborating with national and international experts to build a robust research portfolio and contribute to global health solutions.
In addition, the role will include performing a variety of research activities such as planning, organising and conducting research studies within the overall scope of a research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his / her designate, including but not limited to the following :
