Roles & Responsibilities
Overview :
The Network Engineer will design, implement, and support network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security. This role involves collaborating with project teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize network environments, and deliver successful projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network hardware, software, and protocols, as well as a focus on continuous improvement and security.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to fulfill contract obligations.
- Manage project documentation and subcontractor coordination.
- Perform system and database setup, troubleshoot technical and design issues.
- Support IT infrastructure, including Microsoft OS and Windows servers.
- Configure network switches, perform network checks, and manage IP address assignments.
- Install, debug, and troubleshoot IT-related issues.
- Set up database clusters, data backup, and recovery processes.
- Ensure data security and personal data protection.
- Draft professional documentation for system and architecture design.
- Analyze tender requirements and support tender bidding processes.
- Manage certification, key management, and infrastructure services (AD, NMS, ClearPass, MFA / 2FA, KMS, Antivirus, Patch Management, MDM).
- Support system integration, UAT / FAT / SAT, and system deployment procedures.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and use VAPT tools as needed.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience).2-3 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and administration.Experience with enterprise-level networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.Proficiency in networking protocols : TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, MPLS, and QoS.Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Wireshark, PingPlotter, SolarWinds, PRTG).Knowledge of network security best practices and cloud networking (AWS, Azure).Experience with SD-WAN, VPN technologies, and automation tools (Python, Ansible) is a plus.Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Preferred certifications : CCNA / CCNP / CCIE, CompTIA Network+, or JNCIA.Familiarity with data center operations, virtualized networking (VMware NSX, Hyper-V), and hybrid / cloud environments is desirable.Tell employers what skills you have
