This is a diversified food & ingredients conglomerate with a global footprint, with significant asset, supply chain and customer base in Asia and the emerging markets. Due to business growth ambitions, along with a rapidly volatile and complex international tax environment, there is now a newly created opportunity for a high caliber Tax manager to be part of a high performing tax team. This will be an individual contributor role for now.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Tax, the Tax Manager will play a critical role in international tax advisory matters. In addition to advising and developing tax structures for M&A, divestments, cross-border transactions, he / she will also provide regional tax compliance support including tax incentive applications. In particular, the Manager will be the subject matter expert for transfer pricing, Pillar 2 implementation and documentation. The Tax Manager will advise the business division heads of any tax planning opportunities and business growth initiatives. He / She will also manage tax audits and disputes in the areas of coverage and ensure an alignment of group tax framework and policies across businesses and countries.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a degree holder in an accounting or business discipline, with a minimum of 10 years' tax experience. Hands-on experience in international tax, transfer pricing, Pillar 2 is critical. This is a great role for those currently in the Big 4 advisory tax group and looking to move in-house into a broader tax advisory and compliance capacity. This role is expected to be operationally hands-on and have a strong understanding of a wide spectrum of tax issues. You will be described as an effective communicator who is able to engage with multi-location stakeholders. Due to the complexities of the business, a structured and methodical project manager who has a keen eye for detail will be key to the success of this role.
