Assistant Tender Manager / Tender Manager (M&E)

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the full tender process from pre-tender to submission, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
• Review tender specifications, drawings, and scope of work to identify key commercial, technical, and contractual risks.
• Develop tender strategy, pricing methodology, and submission timeline in coordination with senior management.
• Manage tender clarifications, addenda, and ensure all updates are incorporated accurately.
• Conduct tender review and post-tender meetings with management and project teams.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates for all M&E systems, including : HVAC, Fire Protection, Plumbing & Sanitary, Electrical, ELV, and associated works.
• Review and validate quantity take-offs, material costing, and labour rates prepared by the QS and estimation team.
• Analyze historical data and market trends to benchmark and optimize pricing.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of cost summaries, BOQs, and commercial proposals.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Review subcontractor proposals for technical compliance, completeness, and cost-effectiveness.
• Build and maintain a strong database of reliable suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure all submissions meet the client’s technical and commercial requirements.
• Support management in tender presentations, clarifications, and negotiation meetings.
