We believe that every child deserves to grow with joy, confidence, and purpose. As a Learning Support Educator (LSE), you will play a key role in supporting children with diverse learning and developmental needs through individualised care, inclusive practices, and values-based education.
You will work closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to nurture each child’s potential — not only academically, but also in character, life skills, and emotional well-being.
This role aligns with ECDA’s Developmental Support-Learning Support (DS-LS) Framework and supports our centre’s mission of holistic education.
Job Description :
- Observe children’s learning and development to identify early signs of additional needs.
- Conduct informal observations and developmental check-ins to support early intervention planning.
- Design and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or Individual Support Plans (ISPs) focusing on both learning and personal growth.
- Provide individual or small-group learning support to strengthen cognitive, social, and emotional skills.
- Collaborate with teachers to differentiate lessons and adapt activities for inclusion during play, exploration, and project work.
- Encourage positive behaviours, empathy, and self-regulation aligned with our character and life education framework.
- Communicate regularly with parents, sharing progress and practical home strategies for continued support.
- Partner with external professionals for multidisciplinary support.
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in accordance with ECDA standards.
- Contribute to a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child feels seen, valued, and capable.
Job Requirements :
Minimum qualification : Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education – Teaching (DECCE-T) or equivalent, recognised by ECDA.Preferred Education :Advanced Certificate in Learning Support (ACLS)Specialist Diploma in Learning Support (SDLS)Diploma in Special Education (DISE)Experience supporting children with mild learning or behavioural needs in a preschool setting.Strong knowledge of child development, inclusive practices, and values-based teaching.Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers and families.Warm, patient, and reflective educator who values holistic child development.Key Competencies :Inclusive education and early intervention.Social-emotional and character development.Behaviour and emotional regulation support.Team collaboration and professional integrity.Parent partnership and communication.Reflective and empathetic practice.Working Location - Blk 703 & Blk 706 Yishun Avenue 5 Singapore 760703 and 760706.
