- STAR. Our R&D focus is fermentation and enzymatic transformation to produce future food ingredients such as microbial proteins, lipids and bioactives as well as personal care products. Bioprocess Development including Fermentation from 0.5. to up to 200 L scale and Downstream Processing are key to success.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Conduct experiments such as enzyme-assisted pretreatment and transformation of food sidestreams for the formulation of fermentation media and microbial (fungi, yeast, and microalgae) fermentation to produce functional food ingredients, bioactives and personal care product.Analyse and report experimental findings regularly to project teamSupport the maintenance of lab equipments and adhere to good lab practicesComply with HSEP (health, safety, and environmental protection) as well as Singapore rules & regulation.JOB REQUIREMENT
Hands-on experiences in microbial fermentation, enzymatic reaction, and downstream processing.Very good skills in practical laboratory work and report writing, experience with routine analytical systems (e.g., HPLC, multi-plate reader, enzymeassays).
Highly motivated team worker with good communication skillsAbility to work independently and demonstrate passion for scientific work.Educational Qualification
Bachelor or Master?s degree in Bioengineering, Biosciences, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
