BUILDING ENGINEER

Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance
- Supervised the Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance team within the building department, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of building equipment and facilities to ensure proper functionality
- Oversee maintenance works including plumbing and sanitary, painting, furniture repairs etc.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to building systems e.g. domestic water pumps, plumbing systems etc.
- Provide engineering expertise and support to technicians and contractors.
- Review and recommend system upgrades, retrofits, and energy-saving initiatives
- Review service reports and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Verify completed works before sign-off and ensure proper documentation
- Ensure building systems comply with statutory requirements (e.g., SCDF, PUB, NEA, MOM regulations
- Coordinate mandatory inspections Annual Water Tank Cleaning (License Plumber) for PUB certifications
Project Coordination & Specialised Maintenance Works
Assist in planning and execution of improvement, upgrading, and A&A (Addition & Alteration) works.Prepare budgetary estimates and quotationsReview shop drawings and technical submissions for compliance with building standards.Ensure project commissioning and handover of new systems.Recommend and implement cost-saving initiatives and sustainable practices.Quality, Safety & Risk Management
