Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a Deputy Manager to assist in overseeing daily operations, liaising with Japan-based stakeholders, and ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams and external partners.

This position requires business-level proficiency in Japanese as the role involves regular communication with Japanese-speaking clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager in daily operations, planning, and reporting
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external Japanese-speaking stakeholders
  • Draft and review documents, reports, and correspondence in English and Japanese
  • Monitor KPIs, identify process improvements, and implement changes
  • Lead and participate in operational projects to improve efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Business, Operations, or related field
  • Proficiency in Japanese at JLPT N2 level or higher, or equivalent, due to the nature of communicating with Japanese-speaking clients and customers
  • Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English
  • 3–6 years’ experience in operations, coordination, or team leadership
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Organised, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good to Have

  • Experience in service operations, logistics, immigration, or customer-facing environments
  • Familiarity with working with Japan market stakeholders
