Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

Work under the supervision of the appropriate Qualified Person (QP) to ensure structural works comply with approved drawings and specifications, supporting the Resident Engineer and liaising with contractors to drive quality and progress on site.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Qualified Person to execute supervision duties and take full responsibility under their direction
• Liaise effectively with Main Contractors’ Engineers and Supervisors to coordinate inspections and resolve site issues
• Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing all structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and project requirements
• Monitor progress and conduct detailed structural inspections to verify adherence to contract drawings, specifications, and approved shop drawings
• Review and validate inspection forms submitted by Main Contractor Engineers/Supervisors, maintaining accurate and organized records
• Verify that structural works follow approved method statements and contractual obligations, identifying and reporting deviations promptly

Required competencies and certifications

• Registration with the Registry of Training Organisations (RTO) under the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) is mandatory
• Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering discipline or National Certificate of Site Supervision (NCSS)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in site supervision of construction works
• At least 2 years’ experience supervising road and structural works
