Roles & Responsibilities
A Director of Food & Beverage (F&B) oversees all aspects of a food and beverage operation, ensuring smooth daily operations, high-quality service, and financial success . This includes managing staff, developing business plans, controlling costs, and maintaining high standards for food and service quality. The director also focuses on customer satisfaction, employee development, and achieving strategic goals within the F&B department.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Planning and Budgeting : Develops and implements strategic plans, budgets, and work plans for the F&B department, including both short-term and long-term planning.
- Operational Management : Oversees all aspects of front and back-of-house operations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Staff Management : Manages and develops staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations, to ensure a high-performing team.
- Financial Management : Monitors financial performance, manages budgets, and identifies opportunities to increase profitability and control costs.
- Quality Control : Maintains high standards for food and beverage quality, service, and hygiene, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Customer Satisfaction : Focuses on enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty through excellent service and personalized experiences.
- Business Development : Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, identifies market trends, and explores opportunities for business growth.
- Compliance : Ensures compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to food safety, hygiene, and service standards.
- Menu Planning and Development : Collaborates with the Executive Chef on menu design, food preparation, and maintaining healthy food costs.
- Crisis Management : Provides leadership during crisis situations and ensures business continuity.
Skills and Qualifications :
