Job's mission

As a Senior Key Account Technology Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of ASM’s customer engagement, driving technical excellence and innovation. You’ll lead the introduction of new products and improvements, ensuring our solutions meet customer needs and deliver exceptional performance. This role is pivotal in bridging customer insights with product development, helping shape the future of semiconductor technology.

What will you be working on

Lead new product introductions and evaluations, including hands-on work at customer sites.
Implement best-known methods (BKMs) and continuous improvement plans (CIPs) developed by the business unit.
Resolve high-value technical issues by guiding customers through corrective steps.
Translate customer technology roadmaps and timelines into actionable insights for product management, business development, and R&D.
Identify technical inflection points and collaborate with R&D to integrate customer learnings into product development.
Own equipment performance at customer sites and approve non-standard specifications.
Detect and address product non-conformances early, coordinating corrective actions with hardware and process experts.
Manage escalations efficiently for both new product introductions and installed base systems.

What we are looking for

Minimum Master’s degree in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or material science.

Minimum 7 years of experience in semiconductor wafer processing or capital equipment or 4 years for Ph.D. holders.

Experience in process engineering or technical marketing.

Direct experience with silicon wafer processing or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bilingual in Japanese and English.
