This position combines hands‐on procurement and planning activities with strategic responsibilities such as supplier management, process improvement, and cross‐functional coordination. The role is vital to ensuring timely material availability, optimized inventory levels, and reliable supply chain performance within a fragrance and flavor manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain short‐to‐long‐term production and material plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and customer requirements.
Coordinate with Sales, R&D, and Production teams to ensure alignment between production capacity, order fulfillment, and raw material availability.
Review and adjust plans proactively to accommodate demand fluctuations or supply constraints.
Source and purchase raw materials, packaging components, etc., according to production needs and quality standards.
Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and payment terms to achieve cost and delivery targets.
Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure materials are received on schedule.
Monitor stock levels to maintain optimal inventory balance—minimizing both shortages and excess stock.
Conduct regular stock reviews, and coordinate with warehouse teams for timely replenishment and accuracy of records.
Support continuous improvement in inventory turnover and material flow efficiency.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas suppliers.
Assess supplier performance in terms of quality, reliability, and responsiveness, and recommend improvements where necessary.
Support supplier qualification, audits, and compliance documentation in collaboration with QA and Regulatory teams.
Identify opportunities to improve planning, procurement, and material control processes.
Provide insights and analysis on cost trends, supplier performance, and material availability.
Prepare regular reports on planning accuracy, material status, and procurement KPIs for management review.
Provide guidance to junior team members or coordinators where applicable.
Collaborate with cross‐functional teams (Sales, R&D, Production, QA, Regulatory, Logistics) to ensure end‐to‐end supply chain efficiency.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic decision‐making on material planning and sourcing.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
3–7 years of relevant experience in planning or purchasing, preferably within the flavor, fragrance, or chemical manufacturing industry.
Familiar with ERP systems (D365).
Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a proactive, problem‐solving mindset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
