Roles & Responsibilities

Delivery Hero has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017 and is part of the MDAX stock market index.In July 2024, Delivery Hero SE merged three of its market-leading food delivery businesses, foodora and Yemeksepeti in Europe, and foodpanda in Asia into one organization, to better unlock synergies and accelerate growth.A new unified Data & Analytics team is a part of this transformation, with the mandate to elevate talent density, standardize methods and tools and elevate the decision-making culture in our business.We are seeking a highly motivated Director, Markets Analytics to be the primary face of our Data's capabilities to our Country leadership teams in Europe, Turkey, and APAC. You will lead a talented team of data analysts across locations, collaborate closely with Country MDs, the EU CIO and your Functional Analytics counterparts to define transparent principles for value-based prioritization and deliver actionable data-informed recommendations to critical business questions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Team Leadership : Build, mentor, and inspire a cohesive team of top-performing data analysts. Create a culture that emphasizes continuous learning, effective communications and the delivery of consistently high quality work products.
  • Stakeholder Partnerships : Build strong relationships with the EU / TR CIO, Country MDs and other key stakeholders, by demonstrating a holistic understanding of the business and strategic priorities.
  • Prioritization : Prioritize initiatives on the basis of well-defined principles for potential impact on business outcomes. Ensure the team is focused on the highest-value work.
  • Transparency : Offer clear visibility and analytics on the state of the team’s backlog. Periodically acquire and react to stakeholder feedback.
  • Data Quality and Consistency : Enable the team to find an optimal balance between speed (incl. adherence to SLAs) and consistency with our broader ethos of avoiding multiple sources of truth and duplication of work products.
  • Rigor : Review and elevate the work products of the team - advanced data models, storyboarded decks, dashboards.

Qualifications :

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering).
  • 10+ years of experience in tech, consulting, or a related field, with at least 3+ years leading analytics teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong technical foundations in SQL / Data Modeling
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, international environment.
