The Floating role provides basic kitchen support across stores during peak periods,
weekends, or when store-based staff are on leave.
Responsibilities :
- Support prep tasks such as washing, chopping, portioning, and labelling
- Assist with cold or hot station under guidance from store team
- Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen during busy service hours
- Step in to support staff meal prep, cleaning, and closing routines
- Follow standard kitchen SOPs and adapt quickly to different store environments
- Maintain professionalism, hygiene, and teamwork at all locations
Report shift highlights or issues to Area Manager after each deployment
Requirements : Experience
Minimum 6 months – 1 year of kitchen experienceExperience in food prep and kitchen support is preferred
Technical Skills
Basic Culinary techniques- basic cooking methods, assisting mise en place, assisting in food preparationFood Safety & Hygiene- understanding of HACCP basics, perfonal hyiene and workstation cleanliness, proper food storage and handling (FIFO)Completing tasks on timeWorking efficiently under pressureFollow instructions and keeping pace during serviceSupporting team wherever neededTaking directions from CDP, Sous Chef, and Head ChefWillingness to rotate across different stations
Soft Skills
Flexible and reliable; able to adapt quickly to different kitchen teamsPunctual, dependable, and calm during peak periodsGood attitude toward teamwork and cleanlinessWillingness to learn and ask questions when unsure
Certifications
Diploma in Culinary Arts ; or Certificate in Commercial Cooking or Kitchen Management is advantageousWSQ Food Hygiene Certificate required
