Overview
Perform technical duties under the supervisionof pharmacists to ensure safe, efficient and timely distribution ofdrugs in AH.
Assist the pharmacist in-charge toprovide supervision to pharmacy support staff and to coordinateactivities within a section to ensure smooth workflow andcontinuous improvement.
Dispense medicines tothe patients according to department policies andguidelines.
JobResponsibilities
1) DailyOperations
- Provideprofessional and courteous service to allpatients / customers
- Process medicationorders / prescriptions for both inpatient and outpatient
- Picking, packing and labelling in accordance withstipulated policies, guidelines and department standard operatingprocedures
- Perform billingfunctions
- Ensures work area is ready for dailyoperations
- Maintains the cleanliness of thepharmacy and ward areas where drugs are stored
- Involvement in workplace quality improvementprojects / activities as and whenrequired
2) InventoryManagement
Ensuresstocks are stocked up properly and tidily according toFirst-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) requirement and stipulated storageconditionPerforms topping up of omnicell wardstock in the respective wardsEnsures correctreceiving of goodsSecondaryrepackaging / redressingCarry out cycle countsand stock takes periodically according toSOPs3)Dispensing
Dispensingof medications to patients in accordance with stipulated policies,guidelines and department standard operatingproceduresRequirements
