Job Scope

As an Assistant Teacher at Little Village, you will play a supportive role in delivering a high-quality early childhood experience aligned with our inquiry-based philosophy. Working closely with the Lead Teacher, your responsibilities will include :

• Supporting the daily routines and care needs of children aged 18 months to 6 years, including feeding, toileting, naptime, and hygiene
• Assisting in the preparation of materials and classroom environments to support learning through play and exploration
• Engaging positively with children to build trusting relationships and promote their social, emotional, and language development
• Guiding children during activities, outdoor play, and transitions, while modelling respectful and responsible behaviour
• Helping to observe, document, and reflect on children’s learning and behaviour under the guidance of the Lead Teacher
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and organised environment for children at all times
• Participating in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and parent communications where required
