• This position guarantees the quality of new products by supporting projects through the NPD Stage Gate Process, coordinating with engineering and suppliers, leading qualification and inspection activities, and driving continuous process improvements.
• Ensures all product Quality Assurance deliverables and activities are understood and completed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participates actively in Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT) meetings and activities to ensure successful product launches.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define measurement methodology for critical dimensions and specifications, incorporating into Receiving Inspection documentation.
• Works closely with vendors to ensure a solid understanding of requirements and drives vendor accountability through regular audits and assessments.
• Leads qualification efforts, including components, materials, and vendors, to guarantee product compliance with specifications.
• Develops and implements Control Plans, inspection documentation, and Quality Plans to ensure efficient product launch processes.
• Facilitates customer approvals and PPAPs, ensuring seamless transitions of new products into production.
• Supports New Product Development activities as assigned, providing expertise in Quality Engineering and assurance practices.
• Conducts thorough supplier audits for NPD components to guarantee conformance to quality standards.
• Trains internal teams and suppliers on quality standards, inspection criteria, and NPD quality requirements to promote quality awareness.
• The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering or Science and at least 3 years of QA Engineering experience. They should possess strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and demonstrate success in applying lean or six sigma tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role, requiring the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve quality goals.
• Experience with New Product Development Stage Gate Process and NPD Tools is required, along with the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment to drive continuous improvement.
