Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities :
- Developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs across sites
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures for all on-site data center activities, including working in confined spaces, at heights, and with electrical equipment.
- Ensure all staff and contractors are trained on and adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, safe lifting techniques, and clean-room protocols.
- Manage the safe handling of specialist tools and equipment, and ensure all procedures are aligned with the highest standards of precision and security.
- Oversee the development and implementation of a robust truck safety program for all vehicles involved in cargo transport.
- Implement technologies and procedures for monitoring driver behavior, including adherence to speed limits, hours of service, and safe driving practices.
- Create and manage safety policies for all personnel involved in cargo transit, including drivers, assistants, and on-site staff.
- Address risks associated with cargo security, lone working, and long-haul travel.
- Act as the primary safety point-of-contact for all APAC operations outside of Singapore and Malaysia.
- Develop and roll out a regional safety strategy that aligns with global company standards while accounting for local regulatory requirements (e.g., Workplace Safety and Health Act in Singapore, Occupational Safety and Health Act in Malaysia, and other relevant standards in the region).
- Conduct regional safety audits and inspections, and provide support and guidance to local teams.
- Lead regional safety training initiatives, promoting a proactive safety culture through training, awareness campaigns, and incentive programs.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) role, with a significant portion of that time spent in the data center or logistics industry.Proven experience in a regional or multi-country role, with a strong understanding of safety regulations in Singapore, Malaysia, and other APAC countries.Must be a certified Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) in Singapore and / or a registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) in Malaysia.Account Manager :
