Roles & Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Data Scientist Intern with strong problem-solving skills to tackle both data science and data analytics challenges. The ideal candidate possesses an analytical mindset, technical proficiency in Python and SQL, and a solid foundation in machine learning or statistical modeling. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to generate actionable insights and support strategic decisions through rigorous analysis and research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex datasets to solve business problems and support decision-making.
  • Design and implement statistical models or machine learning algorithms as needed.
  • Write clean, efficient Python and SQL code to process and analyze data.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support business strategy.
  • Collaborate with team members across departments to define data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Present findings clearly through dashboards, visualizations, and reports.
  • Take ownership of projects with high initiative and drive them independently to completion.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analytics or data science roles.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques or projects.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and forecasting techniques or machine learning.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Able to commit to a 6 month full time internship duration.
  • This is a full work-from-office (WFO) internship.

    • Nice to have

  • Experience in market research, economics or business analysis.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, or operations data.
