Job Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day laboratory incoming samples, including logging the samples, filling out the chain of custody, checking sample details and tests to be done, and coordinating with clients and relevant sections responsible for analysis work.Conduct water, wastewater, and soil analysis based on SOPs and standard methods.Operate, maintain, and calibrate machines used for analysis, such as UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, pH meter, Turbidity Meter, Distillation unit, Photometer, etc.Prepare worksheets, draft reports, maintenance records, chemical inventory, purchase orders, and documentation in reference to ISO 17025 requirements.Liaise with clients regarding reporting deadlines, sampling schedules, and other concerns.Liaise with suppliers.Maintain up-to-date QA / QC procedures.Ensure high safety standards in the lab and adherence to established policies.May be required to collect samples at designated sites locally or overseas and perform on-site testing of such samples.Ensure and uphold the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of test procedures and standard reporting formats in compliance with the Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SINGLAS) under ISO 17025.Take corrective actions against non-compliant laboratory activities, with reference to ISO 17025 standards.Requirements
